Tracking Fun

Half the fun of blogging is tracking your visitors. We all love to spy, right?

I use Google Analytics to do this because it is free and it gets the job done. By using Google Analytics I can see how many people visit the site each day, what site referred them, what city or country they came from, whether they use Internet Explorer or Firefox, if they are on Windows or a Mac etc.

It can even tell me if my visitors are coming to the site after searching for some random phrase in Google. For instance, Sunday one person googled "can't touch this 30sec" and ended up at my sight. For some reason I am the number 1 result for that phrase, and it's not because I paid homage to MC Hammer in a 30 second short film. Instead it leads to a Bulls Eye Ball clip I posted a while back.

Google Analytics can tell you fun stuff like that. So if you are interested in giving Google Analytics a whirl with your Blogger account here is a quick tutorial I wrote on:

How to Use Google Analytics with Blogger

Setting this up is pretty straightforward, but hopefully the tutorial will help for the non-techies out there. If you have any questions just let me know.
