Hail to Appalachian State

After Michigan became the first ranked Division I-A team ever to lose to a Division I-AA team (think 5A vs 1A, think big city vs rural, podunk, no stop light, more banjos than computers, & no orthodontic services town) yesterday I thought about hanging up my blogging hat.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the freestanding coat hanger apparatus and was left with no place but my head to place my blogging hat. Indeed, a victim of circumstance. If there ever was one, I was it.
With my blogger hat on I decided this loss was a good thing. Mr. Carr is past his prime, and not nearly innovative enough to compete in this day and age. A good loss like this and a less than championship year will usher Sir Lloyd out the door. And this is a good thing. It is time for Michigan to find a Coach who can win the big game. You, Mr. Carr, are not that person.
*An added bonus, this indirectly proves mighty Appalachian St. is better than the Utes, as they did what Utah could not the past two years - beat Michigan.
