Two Hours Fifteen Minutes?

Back by popular demand? (if 3 hits a day constitutes demand) Where have we been? Last weekend we put 1200 (read twelve hundred) miles on our car. That was fun. We managed to fit in two baby showers and a baptism in between traveling from state to state. Wondering what I did during the two showers? Wonder no more.

Baby Shower #1: This picture pretty much answers that - in Boise I ran the slip and slide and doubled as a life guard for the kiddie pool. We only had four swimmers but some serious fun was had by at least 3 of the 4. The near drowning experience kind of soured the one kid's experience. After the kiddies wore down my cousin and I moved over to our perch on the deck and practiced looking important. I have it down, I know. I was trying to show Lance how it was done - recently returned RM's find it difficult to ease into the supervisory role.

Baby Shower #2: What to do for baby shower number 2? As exciting as Pasco is, I didn't have any thing lined up beforehand. Fortunately, the oil maintenance light had come on during our travels providing the perfect escape from the baby shower. So I headed out with a brother-in-law and two nephews to do man stuff. Argghhh. It wasn't easy finding a good oil lube place but I was up to the task. We first happened across Wal*Mart - looked like a good stopping point. Yeah, I need an oil change please. What? Two hour fifteen minute wait? You are kidding right? No? Ok, where's the closest real oil change place? Captain Carl's is down the road? No, I said....nevermind. Where's the closest Jiffy Lube?

Off to Court Street it is where we found Jiffy Lube (Ed Note: I wonder if Jiffy Lube and Jiffy Peanut Butter were to merge, would their brand awareness increase? We will probably never know, unless I happen to become CEO of one of them). There was no wait, and 5 guys ready to work on our car. Not sure it takes 5 guys to perform the "Signature Service" but I wasn't complaining. Fifteen minutes later we were on our way.
