Famous Falcons

The great Idaho debate begins -- the new quarter for the State of Idaho has been unveiled and as you might expect it showcases the peregrine falcon that Idaho has long been known for. Of course, our brethren from the north and the east complain this doesn't represent the state -- they have even started a petition. At the publication of this article there were a measley 518 signatures. Do they not have internet access in those parts of Idaho? Or maybe it's because not that many people live there? If you answered yes to both questions please pass go and collect $200.

As any decent Boisean knows since 1984 Idaho has been the home of the Peregrine Fund: World Center for Birds of Prey. And given the largest body of people live in the Treasure Valley I think the quarter offers a fair representation of the greatest number of people. But if you must, sign the petition so we can get the potato on the quarter and reassume our customary position as the butt of potato jokes.
