Less Than Cake

In an effort to keep Adam from composing every single new post on this blog, I have decided to compile a Top 10 list of Things you may not know about Adam. So, here are some things that only his wife would know about Mr. Van Smack:

10. He actually uses the nickname Van Smack on his emails. I don't know where this came from, or why he thinks it is so awesome, but he has at least 2 email addresses with the name Van Smack in them...email addresses is a completely different story.

9. Adam, as previously stated, is a bad eater. He would rather eat $5 Little Caesar's pizza than go out to dinner to any Mexican restaraunt. Not to mention, if it is green he won't eat it (the exception to this rule being of course, green grapes and green candy).

8. Reality TV junkie. Adam's favorite shows? Survivor, Little People, Big World, and of course the always classy and entertaining Dog the Bounty Hunter (editors question: exactly how many people in Hawaii are skipping out on bail?) He especially likes to show the reality TV shows on the projector so that I have no way of escaping them and finally have to sit down and watch.

7. Adam likes all things computer, even things he would have no use for. The best bargaining chip for Adam? Tell him you can stop at the computer store on the way home after he goes shopping with you. He'll go every time.

6. I've never met a kid who wouldn't go to Adam. My nieces and nephews like him more than they like me...even the kids who don't like any one but their moms will go to Adam. Prime example, in Primary Adam is referred to as Brother Smith by the kids, me? my name is "teacher."

5. Deal Finder. You can always count on Adam to find you a deal on whatever it is you want to purchase. The only thing I've ever seen him buy off the shelf was, of course, his laptop.

4. Adam loves chocolate chip cookies. Which of course is a splendid thing. However, I only make chocolate chip cookies by buying them at the store. So, Adam is the resident cookie maker in our house. He's pretty handy with the Kitchen Aid and he cleans up after he makes the cookies.

3. Adam makes up songs for everything. You would never guess, but he actually has a pretty good singing voice, even if the words of the song have been changed to fit Adam's agenda.

2. Vanilla Coke is Adam's favorite drink. Can I tell you how happy he was that Coke brought that drink back?

1. Adam loves surprising his wife. He's excellent at picking out gifts and surprises. Since we've been married, I have been happily surprised with every gift he's given me. So he may look like a tough guy, deep down, he's as soft as the cookies he makes. Conversely though, Adam is hard to surprise with a gift. I have resorted to letting him pick out his own birthday gifts...such is life.
