It Helps to Look at the Map

I work in construciton lending, and sometimes things don't quite work out the way they are supposed to .
When a builder decides to build a half million dollar house on a lot in Orem but apparently forgot to look at the map - that's when we have a problem. Had he looked at the map, he might have realized there was another buildable lot just to the South of his lot. But nobody bothered to look at the map and now the front door of our house is about 20 feet away from the back wall of another house. I can only imagine what it will look like when the neighbors put a fence up around their backyard!
Of course, I am sure there is huge market of buyers looking to get into an expensive house that butts up against the neighbors backyard. And eventually, somebody will build on the lot just West of the garage....this will allow our home to play hide-and-seek quite effectively.
